OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY
The National Authority for Information Security and Safety seeks to apply the highest standards of performance and best practices in the areas of occupational health and safety in order to protect employees and property by creating and maintaining a safe work environment and preventing security breaches, and implementing effective plans and programs to ensure employee’s security in the workplace, and to protect and secure equipment and data to ensure business continuity and prevent unauthorized access to places and information.

EDUCATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
NISSA has been working since its foundation to support educational and research institutions in order to enrich the labor market with Cybersecurity professionals. NISSA works on supporting and developing its Qurain’s educational initiative to provide an opportunity to establish an interactive professional relationship between the Authority’s specialists (mentors) and graduate projects students in universities and higher institutes (the trainees) in order to guide the trainees towards the field of information security and safety early in their career in order to develop their skills furthering their job opportunities. The Qurain initiative also establishes an organized professional framework that allows the development of a direct relationship between mentors and trainees, which would develop a friend, teacher and mentor relationship in order to provide an opportunity for mentors to motivate and advise students, by sharing practical and professional knowledge gained in their career, which in turns provide guidance to students in their future lives and their own careers.

Social and Environmental Responsibility

The social responsibility of institutions has become one of the most important factors used to measure their performance, this applies to all domains. As social responsibility today falls under the list of duties that institutions must take into account during the performance of their work, all institutions must take into account the effects resulting from their work on the environment and society, and they must put the appropriate strategy that contributes to the continuity of development, improving interaction with service recipients, and maintaining ethical values. Taking into account that NISSA and its mandate and since it is the only body concerned with issues related to Cybersecurity, NISSA has set out among its priorities the awareness of the risks associated with the use of information and communication technology and included raising awareness of such issues among its strategic goals, aligning many projects, initiatives and programs towards protecting citizens’ data.
